Summer Time in Boise
Summer is officially here! While that makes for hotter temps it also means longer days with more fun things to do. Kick off the July with baseball, live music, and lot’s of family fun.
Here are some great summer events happening locally throughout the summer.
Spreading throughout downtown Boise, First Thursdays are held on the first Thursday of every month from 5:00-9:00p. Downtown Boise’s businesses, restaurants, and retailers stay open a little later and feature in-store entertainment and special events, giving you a chance to see Downtown Boise in a whole new way. Boise Movies Under the Stars
Beginning at 7pm families can come for a night of fun activities, free games provided by Boise Parks & Recreation, and great movies for all ages. The Capital City Market & The Boise Farmers Market
Held every Saturday from 9:30a – 1:30p The Capital City market stretches down 8th Street in downtown Boise from Main to State Street. Featuring 130-140 vendors ranging from local art to food and drink and even local farmers and musicians, the Capital City Market is a great way to spend your Saturday in town.
Situated in a large parking lot on the corner of 10th and Grove streets near the new JUMP building, the Boise Farmers Market is also held every Saturday from 9:00a – 1:00p. With a focus on locally grown foods sold directly by the farmer, the Boise Farmers Market is a great place to find locally grown food direct from the farmer to you. Find the freshest fruits and vegetables from produce vendors, local prepared food vendors downtown at the Boise Farmers Market. Boise Hawks Baseball
Catch a game with Boise’s minor league baseball team, The Hawks. Visit Boise Hawks’ Memorial Stadium for home games throughout the summer or come for the Boise State Bronco Football Summer Classic on July 20th at 7pm.
